Frequently asked questions
How do I set up the Flora Organic Dunlop Latex Mattress for first use with an adjustable base?
The Flora is compatible with adjustable bases, so you can place it on an appropriate foundation or adjustable frame. Ensure the base is flat and stable, and allow the mattress to fully expand after unboxing before sleeping on it.
Which sleepers will benefit most from the dual firmness option on queen and king sizes?
The dual firmness option allows one side to have a firmer core with a softer top for pressure relief, making it suitable for couples with different preferences or sleepers who want a customizable feel on larger sizes.
What makes the customizable middle layers important for comfort?
The two 3" middle layers are adjustable (firm, medium, or soft), enabling personalized support and pressure relief to suit varying body types and sleeping positions.
Is Flora good for different climates or seasons, and how does it regulate temperature?
Yes. The breathable organic cotton cover with wool filling helps regulate temperature, supporting comfort across seasons by aiding heat and moisture management.
Who would this latex mattress be a good gift for, and why?
It’s a thoughtful gift for someone who values customizable firmness and natural materials, especially if they appreciate adjustable support and temperature regulation.
What should I know about the materials used in this mattress for daily use?
The mattress uses four layers of organic Dunlop latex with a wool-filled organic cotton cover, designed to provide pressure relief, breathable comfort, and natural flame resistance.
The Flora 10" mattress is built with four certified organic Dunlop latex layers, the most of any of our mattresses. Its two middle layers are customizable, enabling a personalized sleep experience for adults with varying needs and preferences. A 2" firm base layer supports the core, followed by customizable 3" layers (firm, medium or soft) and a 2" soft top layer designed to reduce surface pressure points, all encased in a breathable organic cotton cover with wool filling for temperature regulation and natural flame resistance.
Each latex layer is individually wrapped to minimize friction and movement between layers, while wool and cotton work together to further ease pressure points and regulate temperature. The mattress is suitable for all body types and sleeping positions, with optional dual firmness on queen and king sizes, and compatibility with adjustable bases. For added support, an optional hardwood slatted foundation is available, crafted from spruce and fir and finished with organic cotton. A 20-year limited warranty accompanies the product.
